Espada is going forward faster than ever as I've gotten help by Siath to see bugs, as I'm not online as much anymore. I've dealt with minor to major bugs and they're all gone now. The whole system is stable now and I think I'm going to announce it "Espada, Version 1" soon.
I think some of you already know about it, but to make it more known I've put up a little archive with logs from my fights. Most of them containing bugs that are fixed in the current version of Espada though. Here is the link to all of them: http://akumu.diinoweb.com/files/Logs/

Progress & First user
It's been going very well with Espada lately. No big annoying bugs left, it seems. I just add new features and tweak all that I have.
I've let the first person other than me to use Espada now. I hope this will help me get rid of bugs much faster and perhaps develop some new stuff that I didn't think of.
The lucky one is Siath, who also is Akumu's in dad in game and a very good friend of mine in real life. I hope you'll enjoy Espada just as much as I do!

Upcoming: Version 1.0 & Mantis!
I've done quite some work now on Espada and it's coming along quite well. Started to use Mantis for Espada now which is great when I sit at work and have nothing to do and do nothing buy read logs, go through my system and think of upgrades and possibly new features.
If you register on Mantis you'll be able to see what I'm doing right now and what's missing and so on. Try it out and see if you can write a note or perhaps I'll add you as a reporter and you'll be able to add bugs on your own.
This is a step in the direction to an idea of making this a "private open source" project, where I'll let some specific people help me work on it as they're using it just like myself.

One month and still going
I thought it was time to show you a taste of what my screen looks like when I run my system these days. A few errors in this logs, things that have been fixed already.

24 days later...
So I came back thinking that, hell it can't be that many bugs that makes it do this shit... But I was wrong about that. After a fairly long break from both the coding of Espada and Imperian itself, I went through my code to check on the bugs that occured during an FFA.
To my surprise I realised that I have been thinking wrong all the time. My resets, the way I delete afflictions and much else have been incorrect.
Therefore I've come to the conclusion that a complete rewrite is at its place. So during this whole weekend I will spend time writing the code on what will become my new curing system.
Hopefully it won't take much more than that to complete it all, but you never know.

Undetected bugs that seem to occur randomly and which keeps me getting PISSED OFF has made me take the decision to break once again. I actually did this decision yesterday but didn't write this until now.

Back in action
After a long-ish break from Imperian and coding Espada I went back. I've rewritten the core of Espada once again and now I hope it will work better than ever. Changed back to the old string.match() for speed to mention one of the many changes.
Currently looking into a monk anti illusion feature and then it's back to the intelligent parry feature.
What I miss right now is the affliction classes from Stavenn to be on Akumu's side so I can run tests to see if stuff works or not instead of waiting for events or through Akumu into battle without knowing how it will turn out.
I will have less time to do stuff in the near future and so my progress will be slower, though hopefully I will get near done with everything so I just have to fix minor bugs.

Sick and tired
Yea, so I came to the point where I just get pissed at all the bugs I find. They keep adding up and I just don't feel like fixing them right now.
I think I might want to rewrite it to something even more simple, in the core atleast. Because this is getting ridiculous...

Trying something new...
I've just added a link to the right on my blog (In the Link List) which will lead you to a place where I can put up files for and about Espada.
For now, I've put up a TODO list with all the things that I've recently done and need to implement. I might end up with putting parts of my system there, to let people see examples, maybe learn something or just give me sugestions on what can be done better.

Boring day...
Today I did my first Wolfgame's on IRC. A fun game and will serve as a nice time taker. I tried Ubuntu for the second time, but no luck with getting my Graphic Card drivers to work perfectly... AGAIN...
Oh well, I now have a new fresh installation of WinXP SP2. Just recently got all stuff back up and working and sat down with Espada for a few moments.
I made a pretty big change, something I should have done earlier probably. The Regex_match that Whyte so nicely included is now back to the good old string.match in Espada. This is due to speed mainly, which always is my goal with Espada. So I changed back parameters to what they used to be and will see later on if this will work.
I'm trying to figure out a good way around aeon.. apparently Espada sucks at dealing with it, and I'm thinking of including something that will do only smoking lovage if I'd type something in the command line. Worth pondering, even if it sounds dangerous I could make some specific IF's for diag, resets or whatever.
Haven't taken the time to start working on my parry system, yet. But I will do that asap actually.
When it comes to Akumu, my beloved character which I hardly ever speak about anymore, RP wise took a big change today. I've recently played as being "betrayed" but today Akumu's father came over to the same anti magick side as Aku is on now and explain a lot of things.

Status report
Ah, so I found a BAD bug in the system that would not let me cure an affliction if it had been afflicted and cured before. So I was pretty much an easy target there. Now that I've fixed it I could see, from so far just one bloodbath that I the curing is working just fine. Aeon cure was not doing what it's supposed to however, even if the code should be right for it.
Espada will most likely always be a work in progress and bugs are hard to sort out this early in the creation. I have however taken a big step towards perfection when it comes to curing and features. I just added a mana check for purge and focus, which is neccessary when it comes to clerics and malignists. What I have left on the feature list now is a smart parry system.
Here is my idea to the parry system:
It will search for patterns. Lets say someone hit my left leg, right leg and then left again, that will make it parry the right leg. I think the best way to set up a parry system is to let it parry head once someone hit your parry, as most people would aim for the head when they see that opening.
I don't want to let all those who read this blog to know how it exactly will work though, as that must be kept a secret to make it as effective as possible. If not, you could just hit in a certain way to avoid it all the time. Though, my goal will be to make that kind of thing impossible so that there is NO way in telling where I am parrying.
That is all for now... I have a lot of testing to do in the future along with working on the parry feature.

Status report
I've been running many many tests now to check on things. And the result is that I've erased several lethal bugs from Espada.
Here is a list of what other new features has been added:

The defences feature is pretty much completed. What's missing is just the different messages given from when the defences goes up and down, plus their DEF line.

Elixlist feature is all done. I now display them in a very neat way.

Beta Tests
Finally I'm in the stage of beta testing. I've been running a few FFA's now and will continue doing that for a while until I find possible bugs. I've already handled out quite a lot of them, some which were rather lethal.
Defence feature is coming along too, it's added but not complete. I still need to work on the display option that I want, but adding and putting up defences works just fine now. Missing a few of them still but adding them are very easy.
Next on the list of new features:

- Smart parry
- Elixlist, display and sip counter

Back and forth...
With an unstable cMUD beta I got really tired of using it, again. I therefore went back to Mushclient, which is just wow, so much faster.
But hey! A very interesting thing was that Nick Gammon (creator of Mushclient) is pondering on making a new client based upon LUA. Woha! Yes!
The most attractive part of it would be the graphical part for the GUI.
AND! Whyte have made some good changes to ILua, which will make my system even stronger. It now supports Regex by default and stores the lines in tables instead!
So a lot have changed and I've finished writing my new trigger parser, alias parser and added all triggers, aliases and a lot of other stuff. It all needs a lot of bug testing before it's completed, but I'm on a good way to getting it done.
Next on list will be making the defence feature. More info on that later on.

Back home
Wooho! I'm back from a wonderful week in Mallorca! Well, not so fun.. I had it way better over there ;)
cMUD 2.01 beta is out, just as planned. Seems to work fairly well so far after my tests. Faster than the latest public version atleast. Haven't taken time to adjust anything in Espada yet. I will probably make a bug test in the arenas later this week or in a near future. Then I'll start on a nice defence feature along other features.

System Status
Looong time since I wrote here now. First of all, I was waiting for the Cmud lua and atcp stuff to come out. But with Zugg taking a long time to get all the nice stuff finished I started to code in ILua again.
I've tried out a few new methods this time, taking a step away from the old "IF-lists" and instead I'm working with the powerful tables. I've learned a lot about them and they're far more useful than I thought.
A lot of trial and error have led me to what I got right now. I've reworked the core of my system twice now since I started. And this time it's less code, much more flexible and seems to be very fast.
I'm still doing a lot of bug testing but so far writhe, herb, salve, smoke and lifevision feature seems to work just fine. Much to add still, but with the flexibility my system have now, I don't have to do much work when adding new triggers and so on.
Espada is coming along!

Update
Level 100 is not far away now... 15% to go! Just writing this and then I'm off to bed to wake up and make the final push for Aspect tomorrow! So excited!
I did the credit buy by the way. But not 300.... I went for 500 and got myself a surcoat, trans survival and trans antidotes! Woha and I love it.
Lots of cool stuff about Cmud seems to come with version 2.0. I'm really looking forward to the beta, even though it might have bugs in it. Lua, improved speed, functions, ATCP and much more... MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmmmmm

Excited but yet worried
Got my paycheck today! Was going to buy 300cr with it, if the issue I currently have on me gets removed or dealt with atleast... Because if I get shit for the crap stated in it, I'll get mad >:(
Was able to get home earlier from work though.. But I've been tired and I had to help my moms with moving furniture.. Ugh.. But now I'm back home, going to bed soonish.. I've taken level 99 as I was planning to! 97% to go at the moment!!
If I end up buying the 300cr I'll have enough to trans survival and evasion! Then it's antidotes, surcoat, contemplate, and whatever the futures holds for me :D

Coming around
So I finally got back to work.. just friday, this weekend and then next week and I don't work anymore.. Starting to search for a real job now..
Thought I'd get a calm day at work, but no.. it was very busy until the end.. Ugh.. I'm so tired right now I'm almost falling asleep at the keyboard.. Still having a sore throat, feeling naucious back and forth and so on......
I'm level 98.82 as I write.. Going to go for level 99 tomorrow, as I won't have enough time to get the lats percents to get it tonight. I need sleep.
Zugg have started the LUA part of the next Cmud version. (Woo!) I'm hoping it's done soon and that ATCP gets done too. I so want to try this out, very excited about it. And it will probably make me rebuild a new system in Cmud! Something to do on my freetime when it comes.

The bad luck continues...
We've done some awesome hunting trips this week. As I write I'm already level 97 at 50%. So from being level 90 this monday, I've now gained 7 levels in just 5 days... Crazy shit..
But I'm still sick.. Ugh.. Been home for a week now.. Can't work.. Been to the doctor and they said it was a virus, so nothing they can do.. BAH.. I want to get healthy..
Headache, throat hurt/is swollen, fever, tired, runny nose, caughing, naucious... Oh how I hate being that...
Getting aspect next week feels nice to know anyhow.. Looking forward to that..

So much...
Yea, it's been almost a month since I posted something new here now. I've been very busy of course, or I would have posted more.
It all started when I got better from my illness and spent all the time I could with my girl, which have been wonderful as always when I'm with her. And now I'm working fulltime for about 3 weeks, because money is good... But after that I'm all free and don't really know what to do...
As far as the coding goes, it's pretty calm now. I figured I need to add some stuff, but as I'm just bashing the need isn't that big at the moment.
I bought Cmud, that's a pretty big change. Mushclient is still great, but I missed some of the graphical features that Zmud had to offer, so I thought about it and bought Cmud. The topic in zugg's forums about including ATCP and LUA made it more appealing of course!
And I've reached level 92 just minutes ago! Just 8 more levels to go and I'm Aspect at last. Then I'll start working on the soon to be perfect system.

Long time now...
I've been very busy with leveling lately. I also picked up fighting a bit as well... Today I reached level 89! Started at 88 so it was a whole level gained.
Some other things done today were:
- I became secretary!
- I got a GF after that and gained GR5!
- Started to add a new type of anti illusion feature into Espada
So tomorrow (well it's past midnight here so it's tomorrow already :P) I'll move my computer back to the desk and start do some heavy sorting and fixing of Espada. It's getting more and more out of my hands when it comes to being easy to read. And after that I'll get back to leveling!
Illness is also starting to get better, lucky me. Hopefully I can go outside soon, after two weeks of being nothing but inside the apartment..... ugh.....

Good work!
Together with my buddy, I got 133% exp today, lots and lots of gold and I finally transed out Necromancy and getting closer to insomnia in survival..
Many new features added to Espada (yes I named my system that and will use that word in the future). Features that will make life easier for me as a coder as I add more stuff.
Still have lots of work to do before I'm satisfied though. But the curing system seems to work flawlessly!
Oh another nice thing.. I moved the computer back to the desk this morning just laying in bed and playing was a bit hard... But I did something better than my bed, I move the whole comp to my sofa. I have my tv right in front of me, I can watch a movie while I do that coding, bashing or whatever it is!!!

Progress....
It's sunday night. Everyone I know is asleep and I sit awake in the dark, pretty much insomniac after the pills I'm taking. So I figured I'd crawl to bed, but what the heck.. I bought a LCD widescreen not long ago, it's easy to move and all.. After realizing that, I put it on the little table at the bed along with the keyboard and mouse..
And here I am now, in my bed playing games, coding and writing stuff. It's quite fun.
The coding is running smoothly and I've written a trigger and alias parser for it now. Very easy to add new stuff now!
And I dinged level 85 minutes ago! Now I just need to get well again, get rid of this pestering sickness and start going out of my apartment... Haven't been outside for a week now, it's horrible.
Well, back to code and bashing. I got 15 more to go after all!

Oh to hell with it...
Great, I've gotten really sick and eating badass pills to get a bit better... This might take weeks... But I hope it won't be that long, but just a few days :(
Well, it's a good oppurtunity to learn the new "language" I've found that I'll use for my system. I'll rewrite it all again just for the kicks and make it badass right away!

Blackout Prompt Complete!
I'm overly happy from the success I had with my blackout prompt trigger last night, right before I went to bed after a long day of coding, bashing and questing. And now, this morning, I got it all done.
With some help I got it all fixed and I can now see my exact health and mana on the prompt, even behind blackout. All done with the wonderful ATCP!
Made a cute big red capital letter blackout message at the prompt as I have it, just to put it out there if it's all going fast.

The day before this day...
Lots of coding was done for me yesterday. Some minor bugs were fixed and then I made several utility scripts.
All from ChatCap, Elixlist Counter and Custom Prompt!!
I'm so happy about my prompt right now hehe. It's very useful at the moment and I'm hoping to get suggestions on how to improve it even more.
It currently looks like this:
+303 +306 +1639 |BE|DB|IQC|AD|HSP| nothing |
First one is Hp then Mp and then my willpower. Hp and Mp change colour as they go below 75%, 50% and last 25%. Very useful when fighting those instantkills.
BE - Balance and Equilbrium, changes colour upon active/inactive.
DB - Deaf/Blind, changes colour as well.
IQC - Insomnia, Quince and then Cloak are what this stands for, changes colour upon active/inactive.
AD - Autodefence system ON/OFF
HSP - Herb/Salve/Pipe balance Available/Unavailable
Nothing - This is where the target is printed
Then there are some other things that are hidden. Like if you're Prone, Stunned or Tangled it will be printed out on the right side of the prompt in capital red letters.
Pretty much the same princip goes to Tlocks. When you're Tlocked it will be printed out in red letters. If not, but you're afflicted by either Anorexia, Slickness or Asthma, it will be printed out.
Ahhhh, how I love this prompt now :) But I hope to improve it even more as time passes or if someone has suggestions.

Ahh, feels nice to finally contribute something to the internet like everyone else these days.
I made this blog to write about my coding progress for my Imperian Curing System project. I should probably call it something of my own, as that sounded a bit cliche, however it's right to the point of what it is.
